A Full Detail is our most popular all-rounder — a proper reset of the whole car, inside and out, in one go. It's not a quick wash and vac. We work through the interior top to bottom and then do the exterior with a proper hand wash, decontamination and a protective sealant to finish.
Most people book it when the car's just due — it hasn't had a real clean in a while, or it's been through the kids and the beach and it needs a proper sort. If that makes sense.
One honest thing worth knowing: a Full Detail cleans the paint — it does not correct it. If the paint is swirled, dull or you can feel scratches with your fingernail, a clean will improve things but won't take those out. That's what the Ultimate Detail (cut-and-polish included) is for. We'll look at the car and be straight with you about which one fits.
Up here your car cops it inside and out, all year round. It's not just about looks — the humidity, UV and salt air genuinely work on your paint and your interior if they're left unchecked.
Cairns has some of the highest UV in the country. Without protection the clear coat breaks down and your colour goes chalky. The protective sealant we finish the exterior with puts a barrier over the paint and slows that down.
Wet swimmers, damp towels, the beach run — then sitting in a hot car park all afternoon. That's the recipe for mould, musty smells and that sticky film on everything. A proper interior clean gets the cabin genuinely fresh again.
Salt air settles on your car constantly near the coast, and the wet season dumps road grime all over it. A proper hand wash with decontamination lifts everything a normal wash leaves behind.
Everything out first, then a full vacuum and compressed-air blow-out to lift sand and crumbs from every seam, rail and vent.
Fabric seats shampooed and extracted, or leather cleaned and conditioned. Dash, console, doors and vents wiped down with a clean matte finish, and all glass done streak-free, inside and out.
A full hand wash followed by a decontamination step to pull out what a normal wash leaves — tar, sap, mineral deposits and salt.
We wipe every panel down so the surface is clean and ready to seal. No polish residue or oils left behind.
A protective sealant goes on to give the paint a clean shine and some hydrophobic protection. Then a final walk of the whole car to make sure it's right.

It depends on the size and condition of your car, so we quote each one individually. As a rough guide, the interior alone starts at $275 and the exterior at $325 — so a combined full detail for a small car in decent shape sits in that ballpark as a starting point. We'll give you an exact number on a quick call. GST included, no surprises.
A Full Detail cleans the car properly inside and out — that's it. It doesn't correct the paint. If your paint is swirled, dull or you can feel scratches with your fingernail, a Full Detail will make it cleaner but it won't take those out. The Ultimate Detail adds a machine cut-and-polish, which actually levels the paint and removes the swirls. If the paint is in good nick and you just want a proper clean, the Full Detail is the right call. If the paint is rough and you want it looking genuinely good again, go Ultimate.
Usually most of the day. The interior alone takes a few hours when done properly, and the exterior has its own process on top of that. We'll let you know what to expect when we quote so you can plan around it.
Both — whatever's easiest for you. You can drop it to our shop at 29 Vasey Esplanade, Trinity Beach, or we'll come to your home or workplace. We need somewhere shaded and dry to work on the exterior, so a garage or carport helps if we're coming to you.
No, and we'll be straight with you about that. A Full Detail involves cleaning and protecting the paint — not correcting it. If you run your finger over a scratch and it catches, it's gone into the paint and a detail alone won't fix that. You'd want the Ultimate Detail, which includes a machine cut-and-polish, or a standalone paint correction. We'll have a look and tell you honestly what yours needs.
The timing works well — a freshly detailed car is in the best state to coat. That said, if your paint has swirls or scratches, we'd want to correct those before the coating goes on, because a coating locks in whatever's underneath. If you're thinking about a coating down the track, just let us know when you book the detail and we'll factor that in.
